Interstate Home Loans Center walks Together for Breast Cancer Awareness on Long Island

At Interstate Home Loan Center, we believe that being part of a community means showing up for one another, supporting meaningful causes, and making a difference beyond the workplace. This commitment was on full display as our team members came together at Jones Beach on Long Island for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.

Despite the cold weather, our team proudly participated in the walk to support breast cancer awareness, honor survivors, and stand alongside those whose lives have been affected by breast cancer. This event held special meaning for our Interstate family as we walked in support of our fellow team member, Carmela Abarno, a breast cancer survivor.

Walking Together for a Cause That Matters

Having Carmela as part of our team made this experience especially meaningful. Her journey as a survivor served as a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and hope that can carry people through life’s most challenging moments.

Our team came together not only to show support for Carmela, but also to stand with the many individuals, families, and communities impacted by breast cancer. Even on a chilly day at Jones Beach, the spirit of togetherness, compassion, and determination made the experience unforgettable.

As part of our participation, Interstate Home Loan Center proudly donated $1,000 to the American Cancer Society, helping support its ongoing efforts to fight breast cancer and make a difference in the lives of those affected by the disease.
